What is the story behind Carolina Skiff?

Just curious. If Carolina Skiff is made in Georgia, why is it called Carolina Skiff?|||Like many boat companies, they get bought and sold to bigger companies. Those companies then move operations closer to their offices. There are several boat brands built there at that location.|||It's just a name. Boston whalers are not made in Boston, and you can get a Philly cheese steak sandwich anywhere in the world, including Philadelphia. Get the picture?
