My cat drops stool over which he has no control?

My cat is 6-7 months old. It just seem to drop stool while walking through the house or sitting. The stool is soft.. not runny, is grey in colour and are small drops. Its as if it has no control over. It passes stools regularly which is regular in size.. but looks normal..not hard but not runny either. For this it uses the litter box. But 3-4 times in a day wherever it sits it leaves small spots of stool.



This has been going on since 2 weeks. Earlier it was bigger spots of stool but now since we stopped feeding milk.. its reduced a bit. Now we feed cat food(tuna fish mix which we got from the stores) mixed with rice. Earlier we used to feed him rice mixed with milk and dry fish chunks which we used to get from the fish market.



Please tell me what the problem might be and how to treat it.

you should take the cat to the vet, this is not completely normal.



But the food you're feeding is not great. It souns like commercial wet (full of grain) mixed with rice, extremely high in carbs!



I would never feed dry food and if you're not, good for your cat. Cats are designed to get their water from food. That's the way nature designed them, they have low thirst drive. When fed dry, they won't drink enough to compensate the lack of moisture. They will only consume about 50% of the water they should be having. This can lead to kidney disease, UTI, crystals, blockage, renal failure and more. My cat died after having UTI and blockages for years, then he developed diabetes from the bad food and eventualy even bladder tumor.



The only way to give the cat it's natural hydration is to feed it wet food only.





But some wet foods are junk too. That goes for most commercial foods. Just like the dry, they are often made with cheap fillers such as corn, wheat, soy, rice etc. These are not a part of cat's natural diet and they are not designed to digest it. Grain is carbohydrate, that the cats can't process and it runs into blood sugar and fat, causing diabetes and obesity. In the wild, where cats only hunt for meat, diabetes and obesity are unheard of. It's us who cause it by feeding a species inappropriate food.





The healthiest food to feed apart from raw feeding is grain-free wet food with no by-product. These will give your cat the proper hydration and nutrition it's designed to get and it will be strong and healthy.

This could be due to a lot of different things. You really need to take this cat to a vet and get it checked out. Usually when a cat starts dropping stools randomly as it's walking around, it's a red flag that something is wrong with it.
